The sun is officially out and temperatures are finally no jacket required as we get closer and closer to Memorial Day Weekend back at our favorite beach towns! While Pinkly Perfect’s given you many reasons to buy beach inspired fashion in the off-season, we are so happy to launch our first capsule of the Summer 2018 collection.

Below are our favorites:

Avalon Sweatshirt, Flamingo Besties:

Not only is our best selling sweatshirt back, but it’s better than ever with a pink pair of flamingos.

Forever Avalon, NJ Embroidery Patch:

PinklyPerfectForeverAvalonBadge

This may be our favorite new addition as it’s something completely new! Our “Forever Avalon, NJ” patches are 2” x 2” and can be sewn onto literally anything from your backpack to your beach bag to your beach towel to your denim jacket. We love this as a little “card stuffer” to include as a bonus birthday gift.

Bar Harbor Hat, Blue Denim:

PinklyPerfectBarHarborHat

We first introduced the Bar Harbor Hat last summer and quickly sold out! This year, we added a washed blue denim as more of a neutral color and we can’t help but be reminded of something MK & A would wear. 😉

Dennis Greeting Card, Bikini vs. Ice Cream Card:

PinklyPerfectBikiniCard

A “just because” card gets a summer makeover with the ultimate struggle that beach babes face every June-August. “My mind says bikini but my heart says three scoops and extra sprinkles.”

Beachy Emojis That Are Noticeably Missing

While our summer emoji game is pretty strong with frequent use of the mermaid, seashell, bikini, ice cream cone, and palm tree, there are some beachy icons that are very noticeably missing from our text convos and social media interactions.

Consider the below our petition to have summer last all year on our phones as well as through our Pinkly Perfect accessories:

Flamingo Emoji:

pink.flamingo.emoji

Whyyyyy is there not a flamingo emoji yet? There’s not even something similar we can sub for this pretty pink bird that is popping up everywhere from pool floats to beach towels to drinkware.

Hermit Crab Emoji (Preferably painted in rainbow colored flowers):

painted.hermit.crab.emoji

If you didn’t have a hermit crab when you were growing up, did you really vacation at the Jersey shore? Nothing would say nostalgia to your beach besties better than sending a vibrantly painted hermit crab emoji while trying to pass the time while studying for finals this spring.

Flip Flop Emoji:

flip.flop.emoji

Again, we see no reason for this one. Yes, there are footprints but that is not enough. I would like to send a cute pair of flip flops when asking my friends to join me for summer shopping or when reminding my fiancé to pack the ultimate summer sandal for our beach getaways. Would pair perfectly with the bikini and the beach umbrella. Sigh.

Seahorse Emoji:

So we may want this one a little more than most given Pinkly Perfect’s logo, but we also think it’d be useful for a bunch of other beach inspired brands that also honor this majestic sea creature as an important part of their branding techniques.

While the front may be fairly simple, the back on this pink Veronica swimsuit steals the show! A+ for adjustable straps and hidden shelf bra.

10 Surprising Facts About Year 2 for Pinkly Perfect

pinklyperfect.maddy.sasso

We just celebrated our 2nd birthday on April 1st! (Where has the time gone?!)

In reflection and evaluation of the past year, we decided to put together a list of 10 surprising facts you may not know about Pinkly Perfect!

  1. Our product was featured on TV!
  2. We’re over 21! Yep, we did some research and realized the majority of our customers were over 21. So we started gearing our designs more towards them and less towards high schoolers. Peace, love, wine, anyone?
  3. Our summer sales increased by 144%.
  4. We added two new product lines: hats & embroidery patches—both of which are best sellers!
  5. We filled about a million reorders over the summer (maybe an exaggeration but it sure felt like it).
  6. PP CEO, Maddy Sasso visited three new beach towns: Charleston, SC, Bar Harbor, ME, and Portsmouth, NH.
  7. She also got a full-time executive assistant in the form of a furry, almost two year old dog named Louie. He may not help with the administrative duties but assists in break time, licking tears, and encouraging walks outside.
  8. We moved into our PA office, making Pinkly Perfect run much more efficiently.
  9. Our blog got sponsored and we conducted our first ad campaign across college campuses in Philadelphia.
  10. We have a new creative genius on board who doubles as PP CEO, Maddy Sasso’s fiancé. Some of your favorite PP sayings are his ideas! (Searching for a Porpoise, I’ve got your back…)
