Fall has just about started, Christmas is right around the corner, and temperatures are slowly, but surely dropping. Even with pumpkin spice lattes and peppermint mochas, complete with Starbucks’ famous holiday red cups to help keep us warm, it’s hard not to reminisce about when it was 80 degrees outside. As school drags on and snow starts to fall, we may find ourselves counting down to warmer weather. While you’re playing a waiting game with Mother Nature, make sure you take some time to daydream about these three beautiful beaches you’ll most definitely want to hit up this spring break!
Cancun is a popular spring break spot located in Mexico bordering the serene Caribbean Sea, which means beautiful beaches and perfect, sunny weather. Not only is Cancun a great place to get your tan on, but it’s also a place where you can swim with dolphins, do some snorkeling, and even visit Chichen Itza, one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World. If you’re looking for a more secluded spot, try Isla Mujeres, a calmer island just across from Cancun that’s full of wildlife and even has a turtle farm, which is an absolutely adorable photo-op! 🙂
Miami is a vibrant and fun city located at the southernmost tip of Florida. This city is surrounded by sparkling blue waters, hot beaches, and enough attractions to keep you going your entire stay. If you’re hoping to spend your time doing some shopping, check out Lincoln Road or CocoWalk, two outdoor shopping plazas full of trendy shops and restaurants. Caution: your wallet may hurt a little after these ventures, but it’s so worth it. Miami is also just around the corner from the famous Everglades, a 1.5 million acre park full of animals of all shapes and sizes. Definitely a spot for the adventurous animal-lovers out there. Make sure to bring lots of water and a camera!
Honolulu is just one of the many picturesque cities in Hawaii, located on the island of Oahu, right in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. Honolulu’s most famous beach, Waikiki, is home to fun activities such as shopping, surfing, and getting that perfect sun-kissed glow. Honolulu and its surrounding cities also offer a variety of different luaus, because what would a Hawaiian vacay be without one? If you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and sightseeing, check out Diamond Head, a Hawaii State Monument, or any of these other hiking trails. Reaching the summit of Diamond Head is not only rewarding, but it’s also the perfect place to snap an insta-worthy picture that will make all your besties jealous!
Whether it’s Cancun, Miami, Honolulu, or the good ol’ Jersey shore, I think we can all agree a vacation is going to be much needed after this winter. Hang in there, girls! Take a deep, cleansing breath (or two, or three, or four…), picture your favorite beach, and get ready to tackle the snow and ice we’ve all come to know and kind of despise. It’ll be springtime before you know it! 🙂
