Even though it may seem like an overload of Christmas and New Year’s themed everything lately, for those of you lucky enough to be on bridesmaid duty come Spring & Summer 2018, you’re probably more overwhelmed with the planning of showers, bachelorettes, luncheons, and of course, weddings!
Between NYE and next September, I’ll be going to 8 weddings across Iowa, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Texas, and Mexico. I’m a bridesmaid in two, and another is my sister’s wedding so I will be very, very busy to say the least. Luckily all with things right up my alley like planning parties, picking out pretty flowers, dress shopping, dancing like crazy, and celebrating with (lots of) champagne and cake.
For the newly engaged couples, it’s not just the wedding they’re planning. The love birds will be sending out engagement announcements, save the dates, wedding invitations, bridal shower invitations, and bachelor & bachelorette party invites.
But sending out creative and completely customizable invites doesn’t need to be hard! In fact, with Basic Invite it is SO easy and actually really fun, especially if you’re the creative type.
One of the things I dislike the most about using online services for invitations is that you never get to see the actual hard copy before ordering production. But with Basic Invite, you can actually receive a sample (including the envelope—hint: they have over 40 different color options) to review prior to placing an order.
Another plus is that the invites are completely customizable with over 180 color combinations to choose from! Got a couple hours to spare this weekend? Play (yes, it really feels like you’re playing) around with their templates and custom features. You’ll be surprised with how long you’re on there for.
I was lucky enough to get some samples to review in person and I am so excited to share them with you. I obviously went with all things pink and/or beachy but the options are endless for whatever your style is. One thing to applaud is how exact the color looks on the screen compared to the actual sample. Take a peek at the ones I got below!
I know, I know….isn’t Facebook the official announcement? Nope! Make it even more official with an announcement in the mail. I love the metallics in this card and if I was ordering for production, I would definitely take advantage of their foil option to make it pop even more!
Save the Dates:
FACT: I’ve gotten so many texts recently asking for my address! One feature I love is that Basic Invite offers an address capturing service, which is way more convenient! You can simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc and request addresses for your entire guest list and select it once you send out all the other invitations.
Bridal Shower Invitations:
Bridal shower invites tend to be classy, subtle, and pretty but I love the more fun options. And we’re always up for more champagne. 🙂
Bachelorette Party Invitations:
Why are these always emails? Change the game with Basic Invite’s Bachelorette Party invitations. I L-O-V-E the ones I picked out. Perfectly pink and nautical!
There were so many elegant invitations to choose from and I honestly couldn’t even pick out a sample because I loved them all. In addition to the invite, they even offer wedding guest book ideas, which would be a perfect gift idea too.
